Dear Dairy:

Looks like everyone’s upset about my Administration not making its documents available to Congress. There’s just no pleasing some folks. They’re always mad about our domestic spying and warrantless wiretaps and generally casual disregard for Americans’ rights to privacy on the one hand, but when we decide that our own documents should be kept top secret, that’s somehow bad too.

I mean, they can’t have it both ways! Why are they so secretive about themselves and so nosy about everyone else? Am I the only one who sees the hypocrisy?

Perplexed,
GWB
