We’re having strategists in every day to combat these misperceptions that my Administration is more isolated and disregarded than Rudy Guiliani on Father’s Day. I said at least my approval ratings are higher than Congress; those wind-suckers are down to 24%!

But the strategist said the main reason for the low numbers for Congress is that in the people’s eyes, they haven’t done enough to counter my Administration and its hugely unpopular policies. He said our strategies are so odious that they’re sinking the approval of the Presidency and the Congress, and damaging both parties.

So I guess our policies are what you’d call a ‘mixed blessing.’
